Jane was born about 1722 in , Prince George, Virginia.  Jane's father was William Eaton and her mother was Mary Rives.  Her paternal grandfather was John Eaton; her maternal grandfather was George Rives. She had three brothers and four sisters, named William, Thomas, Charles Rust, Sarah, Ann, Mary Elizabeth and Martha.  She was the second oldest of the eight children.  She died before 1770 in , , Virginia.
