John Pugh was born on July 23rd, 1789 in Of, Mecklenburg, VA. John Pugh's father was John Daves and his mother was Mary Haynes. His maternal grandparents were Andrew Haynes and Ann Eaton. He had a brother and two sisters, named Thomas Haynes, Sally Eaton and Ann Rebecca. He was the second youngest of the four children. He died at the age of 48 on March 26th, 1838 in New Bern, Craven, NC.-
