Barsheba Whitehead was born in 1797 in , , N.C.. Barsheba Whitehead's father was Pharoah Cobb and her mother was Barsheba Whitehead. Her paternal grandparents were William Cobb and Barsheba Whitehead. She had five brothers and a sister, named Jesse, William Blount, Arthur, Joseph, Richard Caswell and Catherine. She died at the age of 59 on February 6th, 1856 in , Hawkins, Tennessee.-
