Oconostota was born about 1704.  Oconostota's father was Jacob The Conjuror and his mother was Aganunitsi Cherokee Nation.  His maternal grandparents were Montoy I Amodohiyi Cherokee Nation Chief and Quatsi. He had two brothers named Skalilosken Kittagusta and Outacite Skiagusta.
