Hiram Jasper was born on January 10th, 1831 in , Hawkins, Tennessee. Hiram Jasper's father was Hiram Charles and his mother was Sarah Buram. His paternal grandparents were James J. Charles and Tabitha Senter; his maternal grandparents were Henry Burem and Mary Miller. He had three brothers and six sisters, named James, Eldridge W., Jasper, Dorcas Jane, Amanda Malinda, Lucinda, Mary, Minerva and Nancy. He died at the age of 68 on March 29th, 1899 in Lawrence Co., MO.-
