George Brooks 
George was born in 1834 in , Hawkins, Tennessee. George's father was John Brooks and his mother was Anna. His paternal grandparents were Thomas Brooks and Sarah Boone. He had three brothers and two sisters, named Thomas, Hiram, Wilson, Rebecca and Margaret. He was the third youngest of the six children.
