Elbert S. Boyd

Elbert S. was born in 1850 in Sullivan County, Tennessee.  Elbert S.'s father was James A. Boyd and his mother was Elizabeth Paxton.  His paternal grandparents were William Boyd and Elizabeth Douglas. He had two brothers and six sisters, named John Wilder, David Paxton, Rachel, Margaret, Virginia A., Sarah Jane, Nancy Ann and Elizabeth.  He was the fifth oldest of the nine children.
