Lydia was born on April 21st, 1699 in Chestertown, Kent County, MD. Lydia's father was Edward Beck and her mother was Anna Quinney. Her paternal grandfather was Beck; her maternal grandparents were Sutton Quinney and Ann Gilbert. She had three brothers and four sisters, named Caleb, Joshua, Aquila, Ann, Rosannah, Rebecca and Rebecca. She was the third oldest of the eight children.-
