John Ball 
John was born on July 25th, 1746 in Fairfax County, Virginia. John's father was Moses Ball and his mother was Nancy Ann Brashears. His paternal grandparents were John Ball and Winifred Williams; his maternal grandparents were Robert Brashears and Charity Dowell. He had five brothers and two sisters, named Moses, Robert, Basil, George, James, Ann and Sibilla. He was the oldest of the eight children.
