Edmund Ashton 
Edmund's father was James Ashton and his mother was Agnes Mainwaring. His paternal grandparents were Edmund Ashton and Jennet Harrington; his maternal grandfather was Charles Mainwaring. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Lewis, Peter, Richard, Anne, Elizabeth and Jane.
