Samuel Alston 
Samuel was born on July 5th, 1770 in , , NC. Samuel's father was Philip Alston and his mother was Winifred Whitmel. His maternal grandparents were Thomas Whitmel and Elizabeth Bryan. He had five brothers and four sisters, named William, Philip, Thomas Whitmel, Henry G., Philip, Mary, Elizabeth, Winifred and Martha. He died at the age of 39 in 1809.
