William was born on May 1st, 1696 in Radcliffe, Manchester, England.  William's father was Richard Allen and his mother was Elizabeth Walker.  His paternal grandparents were Richard Allen and Elizabeth; his maternal grandparents were William Walker and Elizabeth Warren.  He was an only child.  He died at the age of 56 on June 11th, 1752.
