Mort Lee was born on September 14th, 1908 in Sullivan County, Tennessee. Mort Lee's father was David Watts Adams and his mother was Katherine Florence Ford. His paternal grandparents were Jesse H. Adams and Susan Bond; his maternal grandparents were William Ford and Mary Ann Ford. He had two brothers and two sisters, named J. W., Gaines Albert, Nita Blanche and Ruby Kate. He was the second youngest of the five children. He died at the age of 57 on January 3rd, 1966.-
