Eliza  was born about 1859 in TN.  Eliza 's father was Jesse (Chavers) SHAVERS and her mother was Emily (Shetters) SHUTTERS .  Her maternal grandparents were Elijah (Shetters) SHUTTERS and Elizabeth J.  UNKNOWN. She had three brothers and five sisters, named Marshall , Samuel , Hesiki, Elizabeth "Elizzie", Mary J., Malinda "Lindy", Martha and Sarah .  She was the third oldest of the nine children.
