John Franklin was born about 1866 in Jefferson, Ouachita Co., AR. John Franklin's father was Harmon Ephraim ROGERS and his mother was Frances "Fannie" Elizabeth RHEA. His paternal grandparents were John Ramsey ROGERS and Sarah M. GOTT ; his maternal grandparents were Hiram RHEA and Hannah HELMS. He had four brothers and two sisters, named Cy T., Joseph Porter, Andrew A., Marcus Ephraim , Mae Della and Mae Della. He was the oldest of the seven children.-
