James RARIDEN 
James was born about 1792 in Surry Co., NC . James 's father was Jeremiah (Sr) REARDON and his mother was Mary SULLIVAN . His paternal grandparents were Timothy Patrick Riordan and Honora RYAN ; his maternal grandparents were James SULLIVAN and Margaret UNKNOWN. He had a brother and a sister, named Jerimiah and Nancy . He was the oldest of the three children. He died in Morgan County, IN.General Notes

James "Rareden" is on an 1814 Muster Roll of Detached Militia of War 1812 from Surry County First Regiment.
Had seventeen children, 1814-1843. The family was living in Tennessee by 1823 and migrated to Indiana in 1829, living first in Friendswood, Hendricks County, and settling in Morgan County by 1836. Descendants lived in Indiana, Illinois and elsewhere.
