Abigail was born on May 9th, 1709 in Pasquotank Co., NC . Abigail 's father was Ephraim OVERMAN and her mother was Sarah BELMAN. Her paternal grandparents were Jacob OVERMAN and Hannah WISWALL ; her maternal grandparents were John BELMAN and Sarah WILSON. She was an only child. She died at the age of 71 on February 23rd, 1781 in Deep River, Guilford Co., NC .General Notes

Moved to Hopewell, VA in 1730 with her 1st two children. She stayed 11 years and had 6 children. She then moved to Cane Creek, NC
She along with another woman alone rode 200 miles on horseback through the wilderness to Little River meeting for permission to start a M M in Cane Creek.
She also helped start the New Garden meeting 35 miles to the West.
Her sister Sarah married her husband's brother Samuel,.
