Mary was born in 1842 in Morgan Co., IN . Mary 's father was William McNEFF and her mother was Mary "Polly" CHAMBERLIN. Her paternal grandparents were John Thompson McNEFF and Mary "Polly" WRIGHT. She had three brothers and four sisters, named Thomas Wright , Pierce , James, Nancy , Julietta , Minerva and Malissa . She was the youngest of the eight children.General Notes
