James  MURPHY

James  was born on February 2nd, 1789 in Chatham Co, NC.  James 's father was Archybald  MURPHY  and his mother was Sarah  UNKNOWN.  His paternal grandparents were Timothy  MURPHY and Joanna UNKNOWN. He had four brothers and five sisters, named Eli, William , John , Martin F. , Ann , Mary Polly, Sarah , Jane  and Rebecca .  He was the oldest of the ten children.  He died at the age of 75 on December 17th, 1864 in Knoxville, Knox Co, IL..
