His maternal grandparents were William KNIGHT and Margaret DAWSON . He had a brother and eight sisters, named Solon , Mary Margaret , Shannon, Polly , Lucy Jane, Martha Flora, Frances, Sarah Knight and Melissa. He was the third oldest of the ten children.-
