Frank was born in 1869 in McNairy Co., TN. Frank 's father was Nathanial S. HENSON and his mother was Martha Anney Carpenter. His paternal grandparents were William A. HENSON and Margaret Maloy (Moley) COOK; his maternal grandparents were Hezekiah Severe (Howard) CARPENTER and Elizabeth Howard. He had four brothers and three sisters, named William Crawford, Joseph Anderson, John Daniel, Nathan, Mary Ellen, Polly and Sarah. He was the fourth oldest of the eight children.
