Nellie was born in 1828 in Bedford Co., TN. Nellie's father was Noel DRIVER and her mother was Nancy WISEMAN. Her paternal grandparents were Benjamin DRIVER and Nancy AVANN; her maternal grandparents were Isaac WISEMAN and Elanor "Nellie" MERRILL . She had three brothers and four sisters, named Wiley R , William , Thomas Noel , Nancy , Sarah Virginia "Sally", Elizabeth "Betsey" and Marilda . She was the oldest of the eight children.-
