Benjamin was born in 1734 in Upper Makefield Twp, Bucks Co., PA. Benjamin 's father was Eleazer (Eliezer) Doane and his mother was Rebecca DAVIS. His paternal grandparents were Daniel DOANE and Mehitable TWINING. He had a brother and a sister, named David and Rebecca. He was the oldest of the three children. He had three half-brothers and a half-sister, named John , Eleazer (Jr.) , Ephraim and Elizabeth .-
