William L. DOAN 
William L. was born on March 30th, 1859 in High Point, Decatur Co., IA . William L.'s father was Milton Slaughter DOANE and his mother was Hannah R. BROWN . His paternal grandparents were Jesse DOAN and Catherine SLAUTER. He had three brothers and a sister, named John S., Infant Son , Isaac L. and Mary Catherine. He was the second youngest of the five children. He had four half-brothers and four half-sisters, named James Milton , Charles M., Francis (Frank) H., Clyde Cyrus, Surissa Jane , Sarah Elizabeth , Parthena D. and Anna Sophia. He died at the age of 24 on April 5th, 1883 in Adair Co., IA .General Notes
