William CLENDENIN 
William was born in 1773 in Greenbrier Co., (VA. William 's father was James CLENDENIN and his mother was Margaret ANDERSON . His paternal grandparents were Charles CLENDENIN and Mary Ann PATTERSON ; his maternal grandparents were William ANDERSON and Hannah CHRISTIAN. He had two brothers and five sisters, named John, Josiah , Hannah, Mary , Rebecca , Elizabeth and Martha. He was the third youngest of the eight children.-
