Sara was born in 1811 in Greenbrier Co., VA (bfr WV Statehood). Sara 's father was John CART and her mother was Suzanna (Susan) DAUGHTERY. Her paternal grandparents were Willhelm CART (Karg) and Maria Catharina Heppenheimer; her maternal grandparents were Henry DAUGHTERY and Anne EDGAR. She had four brothers and four sisters, named Henry (Carte), William , George , John, Elizabeth , Rebecca, Susan and Julia Ann. She was the second oldest of the nine children.-
