Thomas Howard was born on May 18th, 1835 in Jefferson Co., IL. Thomas Howard's father was Hezekiah Severe (Howard) CARPENTER and his mother was Elizabeth Howard. His paternal grandparents were Lewis CARPENTER and Pathena SEVERE. He had three brothers and two sisters, named Benjamin Franklin, William M. , John Lewis, Elizabeth Jane and Martha Anney. He was the oldest of the six children. He died at the age of 86 on February 26th, 1922 in Marlow, Stephens Co., OK.General Notes
