Joseph was born in 1849 in MO. Joseph's father was Daniel BLAND and his mother was Narcissa BARR. His paternal grandparents were William BLAND and Sarah (Sally) PEAK; his maternal grandparents were William BARR and Massa BROWN . He had two brothers and four sisters, named William , John M. , Martha Jane, Mary , Elizabeth and Frances . He was the youngest of the seven children.-
