Robert was born on January 1st, 1712 in St Pauls Parish, Hanover Co., VA . Robert's father was Robert ANDERSON and his mother was Elizabeth Mary OVERTON . His paternal grandparents were Robert L. ANDERSON and Cecelia MASSIE; his maternal grandparents were William OVERTON and Elizabeth "Mary" WATERS. He had seven brothers and five sisters, named James , Charles , Matthew , Nathaniel, David, Bartelot Garland, Richard , Susannah, Ann , Sarah , Jannet and Charity . He was the fourth youngest of the thirteen children.General Notes
