Joseph was born about 1754 in Pasquotank MM, NC. Joseph 's father was John ANDERSON and his mother was Sarah WILSON . His paternal grandparents were John . ANDERSON and Elizabeth NICHOLSON; his maternal grandparents were Benjamin WILSON and Judith DOCTON. He had a brother and five sisters, named Samuel, Mary , Elizabeth "Betty ", Lydia "Lydda" , Abigail and Penninah. He was the oldest of the seven children. He died on April 16th, 1793 in Perquimans Co., NC.General Notes
