His paternal grandparents were Richard Allen and Ann Freeman; his maternal grandparents were James W. McCLAIN and Sarah "Sally" BAILEY . He had five brothers and three sisters, named Jessie Jobalyn , William H. , Landon C. , James M. , Andrew Jackson , Barbara L. (Barbary) , Sally B. and Elizabeth M. .
