William ADAMS 
William was born in Rowan County, North Carolina . William 's father was John Hobbs ADAMS and his mother was Winnifred (Winnie) BIFFLE. His paternal grandparents were John Hobbs Sr. ADAMS and Ann CAUDILL; his maternal grandparents were Farssed Bussell and Elizabeth UNKNOWN. He had three brothers and three sisters, named John , Jacob , James , Sarah , Elizabeth and Winneford . He died in Kentucky.General Notes

Petition for division of land Feb. Court 178_ by William Adams, oldest
male orphan deed and by his guardian, Alexander Log, saying John Adams D: 1781 intestate with 160 A adj R. Brown, John Turner (and others) with his mother Winney Smith receiving her dower interset in the property.
William inherited land (approximately 102 acres, 1/3 of a parcel of 500
acres), sold it in September of 1795 to Alexander Long for 100 pounds. In May of 1796 he bought the widow 1/3 of the original 500 acres from
Cornelius and Winnie Smith for 50 pounds.
William and Eleanor left North Carolina in 1828, after obtaining a land
grant in Kentucky. He is shown in the 1840 census as being in the age
bracket -70-80. In Settlement Book A, pg. 209, October 13, 1849 there is an entry of William Adams's Estate with Elisha as the Administrator.
