Narrative
It is to be regretted that the records of so large and prominent a family
as that of Harrison of Virginia should have been allowed to become lost.
The Harrisons of "Chester, " in Sussex, are undoubtedly identical with
those of "Berkeley," and "Brandon," and the relationship was recognized
by members of the earlier generations.
Colonel William H. Harrison, of "Chester," had brothers, Benjamin (father
of No. 1923 and 1927) and John. Their father was William Harrison, son of
William Harrison, who must have been born between 1700 to 1730. In all
probability this was the grandson of the Hon. Benjamin Harrison, of
Surry, who was born in Southwick Parish, England, 1645, died 1712, and
who was father of Benjamin Harrioson, of "Berkeley," and Nathaniel
Harrison, of "Wakefield." p. 379, Virginia Cousins
