"Disappointed with Missouri, Robert H. and Sarah Pendleton, their youngest son, Robert G., and Joseph and Nancy Jane Pendleton Butler and their family returned to Trimble County where Robert H. bought a farm in Cooper's Bottom below Milton. While Joseph and Nancy Jane lived on this farm a fourth child, Charles, was born to them in 1870. In March 1874 their fifth child, Joseph Foster, was born."
"Charles Butler married Suda East of Appleton City, Missouri. They had no children. He died of pneumonia on 13 February 1923 while postmaster at Milton, Kentucky. Suda, a teacher, later was an administrator for many years in the Jefferson County, Kentucky school system. In 1954, in recognition of her long and meritorious service, a new school in Jefferson County was named the Suda East Butler High School."
