His parents were John Storrs and his second wife, Mary Chaplin. Mary left a will when she died in which she names her son, Nathaniel Storrs, as well as all his children. She had remarried after John Storrs' death and wanted to be sure Nathaniel got his rightful inheritance. Please check it out and revise your pedigree charts for this family. The Storrs Family History by Charles Storrs, 1860, also gives John Storrs and Mary Chaplin as Nathaniel's parents.
