Rhoda Sovina was born on November 3rd, 1854 in Cortland, DeKalb, IL.1 Rhoda Sovina's father was David Wood and her mother was Ruth Ann Cary. Her paternal grandparents were John Wood and Phebe Bradford; her maternal grandparents were Ephraim Cary and Matilda Gandy. She had a brother and five sisters, named John, Matilda Jane, Phebe, Mary Ann, Elizabeth and Malinda Elizabeth. She was the second youngest of the seven children. She died at the age of 88 in 1942 in Cortland, DeKalb, IL. She was buried in 1942 in Ohio Grove Cemetery, Cortland, IL.1 1 -
