Medora Van Gilder 
Medora was born on October 1st, 1854 in Petersburg, Upper Township, Cape May, NJ.1 Medora's father was David Van Gilder and her mother was Mary Cresse. Her paternal grandparents were Ezekial Van Gilder and Mary Chapman. She had two brothers and five sisters, named Theophilus, David, Ellena, Victorine, Amelia, Elizabeth and Clara. She was the fourth oldest of the eight children. She died at the age of 84 in 1938.1 -
