James Tripp 
James was born in 1656 in Portsmouth, Newport, RI. James' father was John Tripp and his mother was Mary Paine. His paternal grandparents were John Tripp and Isabel Moses; his maternal grandparents were Anthony Paine and Rose Potter. He had five brothers and five sisters, named John, Peleg, Joseph, Abiel, Sylvanus, Mary, Elizabeth, Martha, Alice and Isabel. He was the second youngest of the eleven children. He died at the age of 74 on May 30th, 1730 in Dartmouth, Bristol, MA.-
