James Smith

James was born in 1797.¹   James' father was Jeremiah Smith and his mother was Naomi Babcock.  His paternal grandparents were Jeremiah Smith and Abigail Somers. He had two brothers and nine sisters, named Jeremiah, John, Lydia, Rachel, Charlotte, Sarah, Mahala, Martha, Mary, Naomi and Rebecca.  He died at the age of 91 in 1888.¹
