Jacob Jacobse was born in 1661 in Beverwyck, Albany, NY. Jacob Jacobse's father was Jacob Janse Schermerhorn and his mother was Jannetje Segerse van Voorhoudt. His paternal grandfather was Jan Schermerhorn; his maternal grandparents were Cornelis Segerse van Voorhoudt and Bregjey Jacobsen. He was an only child. He died at the age of 82 on June 20th, 1743 in Schodack, Rensselaer, NY.-
