Hannah Anna was born in 1653 in England.1 Hannah Anna's father was Gamaliel Phippen and her mother was Sarah Purchase. Her paternal grandparents were David Phippen and Sarah Pinckney. She had two brothers and five sisters, named Gamaliel, Gamaliel, Sarah, Elizabeth, Anne, Mehitable and Rebecca.-
