Ernst "the Valiant" was born about 1024 in of Tulln, Niederoesterreich, Austria.1   Ernst "the Valiant"'s father was Adalbert "the Victorious" Mar de Austria and his mother was Orseolo Frowila Pss of Venice.  His paternal grandparents were Leopold I Mar de Austria and Ryksa von Sualafeld.  He was an only child.  He died on June 9th, 1075.1
