Munderic of Vitry was born in 0500 in Vitry-en-Perthois, France.1 Munderic of Vitry's father was Cloderic the Patricide King of Cologne and his mother was of Burgundy\ kinswoman St. Chrotechilde. His paternal grandfather was Sigisbert the Lame King of Cologne; his maternal grandfather was Chilperich II of Burgundy King of Burgundians. He had a sister named Blithilda (Bilhildis).
