Cerdic was born in 0467 in of Saxony, northern Germany.1 Cerdic's father was Elesa of the Saxons. His paternal grandfather was Esla of the Saxons. He was an only child. He died at the age of 67 in 0534 in Wessex, England.1 General Notes

AKA 1st King of the West Saxons. Crowned at Winchester in 532. Some say he ascended in 519, others 534.
