John Harms

John was born in 1807 in Neversink, Sullivan, NY.¹   John's father was Jacob Harms and his mother was Margaret Lomax.  His maternal grandparents were Charles Lomax and Jane Mogel Hone. He had two brothers and five sisters, named Charles, Jacob A, Hanne, Mary, Jenny, Margrietje and Rachel DuPre.  He was the youngest of the eight children.  He died at the age of 87 in 1894 in Charter Grove, DeKalb, IL.¹
