Sancha de Ayala was born in 1360 in of Toledo, New Castile, Spain.1 Sancha de Ayala's father was Diego Gomez de Toledo Alcalde of Toledo and her mother was Inez Alfons de Ayala. Her paternal grandparents were Gomez Perez de Toledo and Teresa Garcia de Toledo; her maternal grandparents were Fernan Perez de Ayala Lord Ayala and Elvira Alvarez de Zavallos. She was an only child. She died at the age of 58 in 1418 in Newark, Leicester, England.1 General Notes
