Isaac Franklin was born on November 9th, 1850 in Council Bluffs, Pottawattamie, IA.1 Isaac Franklin's father was James B Casto and his mother was Sarah Melissa Odekirk. His paternal grandparents were Abel Casto and Mary Polly Galland. He had two brothers and six sisters, named Thomas Jefferson, William Charles, Elizabeth, Adelaide, Geneva Katherine, Lyda Jane, Ellen Mary and Alice Harriet. He was the oldest of the nine children. He had a half-brother named Ezra James.-
