Rhoda was born in 1828 in , Shelby, OH.1 Rhoda's father was Ephraim Cary and her mother was Abigail Watson. Her paternal grandparents were Ezra Cary and Lydia Thompson. She had nine brothers and five sisters, named William, James, Shepherd, Ezra, Daniel, Ephraim, Abel, John Marion, David W, Phebe, Mary, Keziah, Lavina and Lydia. She was the third youngest of the fifteen children. She died in , Delaware IN.1 -
