Josiah was born in 1724 in Bridgewater, Plymouth, MA.1 Josiah's father was Recompense Cary and his mother was Mary Crossman. His paternal grandparents were Jonathan Cary and Sarah Allen. He had six brothers and three sisters, named Seth, Ichabod, Ebenezer, Simeon, Zebulon, Jonathan, Sarah, Mary and Abigail. He had a half-sister named Abigail. He died at the age of 19 in 1743 in Bridgewater, Plymouth, MA.1 -
