Leonard Boland

Little Mountain - Services for Leonard Carl Boland, 64, of 866 Holy
Trinity Church Rd., will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Holy Trinity
Lutheran Church, with burial in the church cemetery. The family is at
his residence and will receive friends 6-7:30 tonight at McSwain-Evans
Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Holy Trinity Lutheran Church,
P.O. Box 186, Little Mountain 29075, or to the American Cancer Society,
2230, Glenn St., Newberry 29108. McSwain-Evans Funeral Home is in
charge.

Mr. Boland died Saturday. Born in Newberry County, he was a son of the
late Leon C. and Eva Shealy Boland. He was employed by South Carolina
Electric and Gas Co., a member of Lodge 281, AFM, and a member of Holy
Trinity Lutheran Church.

Surviving are his wife, Betty F. Boland; son, Philip Boland of Little
Mountain; daughters, Kathy B. Culp of Little Mountain, Phyllis B.
Simmons, of Greenville, Carlene B. Lindler of Chapin, Charlene B. Derrick
of Irmo; sisters, Myrtis Wessinger and Bonnie Bickley, both of Little
Mountain, Edna Riley of Prosperity, Rae Daniels and Barbara Dickens, both
of Chapin; brother, Larry Boland of North; seven grandchildren.
